Berlin, Germany

Hello, I’m Diana.  I’m from Vancouver, BC and I blog about what I cook!  I started this blog when I was living in Moose Jaw, SK, hence the name, but am currently living in Comox, BC with my husband Rock and our 2 year old son and our baby daughter.  I love travelling (30+ countries and counting!), shamelessly reading celebrity gossip, and cooking.  You can find out more about me here.  Rock also occasionally blogs on here and he is passionate about anything to do with aviation, Star Wars, and building things (mostly Lego).

I spend a lot of time thinking about what I’d like to eat next and that wasn’t so great in a place like Moose Jaw where we had pretty limited dining options.  I had always enjoyed blogging about travelling and living abroad and so I decided to start this blog as a bit of fun and to motivate myself to try and cook new things instead of just wishing I could eat them.  Rock soon joined in and has since fallen in love with baking. (His are the charmingly ESL posts.). We post both original recipes (usually when I want to recreate something that I’ve eaten before exactly) as well as recipes we find from our ever growing collection of cookbooks or from online.  I occasionally toy with the idea of taking nice staged photos of our food with good lighting and my proper camera but since we’re cooking to eat, I usually just take photos with my iPad. We wanna dig in!

Initially, I thought it’d be cool if just some of my friends and a few interested people in Moose Jaw would read this blog.  But we’ve had visitors from over 75 countries (!!!) and have people checking out this blog every single day.  I hope you enjoy our blog and any comments, meal ideas, or tips are more than welcome!

Also, check out my newer blog about our travels at bebe travel diaries.

  4. Whoa. After searching for Tommy burrito I came across your website. I live in Moose Jaw now, but used to work at a Steamrollers in Vancouver. Ate the Tommy like 3-4 times a week and NEVER got sick of it. Still make them all the time at home!
